Context
Project Brief
This project focused on studying and reverse engineering a physical product to strengthen my CAD and rendering skills. I analyzed a Black + Decker citrus juicer and recreated it in SolidWorks, with the goal of accurately modeling its form and components and producing high quality renderings in KeyShot.
My Design Process
Here are the steps I followed...
1. Research
2. Create
3. Reflect

What Have I Learned?
1. Familiarizing myself with more complex tools in Solidworks.

  • Pushed myself to go beyond basic features by learning advanced tools like lofts, sweeps, and surface modeling.
  • This helped me build more refined and realistic parts, while deepening my understanding of how CAD software can replicate real-world forms.

2. Exploring different environments and compositions in Keyshot.

  • Experimented with a variety of lighting, setups, materials, and environments, to enhance realism and visual impact.
  • Learned how composition, camera angles, and background choices influence the clarity and overall presentation of a rendered product.
